Pastor Michael

        Michael Davey Pearson was born in Kenya, Africa, to British South African missionary parents, Rex and Margaret Pearson. His childhood years were spent in Malawi,  Michigan, South Africa, and Zambia.

        He has served in educational and pastoral ministry for more than 30 years. He is a scholar (theologian, ethicist, and research specialist) who's passion for study is the ministry of the Holy Spirit in transforming the character of God's end-time people. He completed his undergraduate studies in theology at Helderberg College, South Africa. He obtained an MA Religion degree through Andrews University and is currently working on his dissertation for a PhD in Theology and Ethics from Andrews University. He has written a number of scholarly articles for encyclopedias and dictionaries and is currently working on two books. The first is a theology of the Holy Spirit. The second is devotional in nature on the theme of experiencing the reality of God. After graduating from Helderberg College, Michael taught in the theology department at Solusi University. He currently serves the Meridian and Parma Seventh-day Adventist Churches in the Treasure Valley region of Idaho.

          Michael met Karen Erlank in January 1977, and they married on December 9, 1979. Their two children, Carey and Bruce are both professional musicians and live in Seattle, WA. Karen works as Director of Publicity at Pacific Press® in Nampa.
